Saved for a Rainy Day

Client: Various

As a professional artist, I’ve created a number of finished illustrations for clients that, for various reasons, were never published. I save nearly everything I create—unpublished or not—because each piece adds to my evolving body of work and often finds new life in future projects. These illustrations remain part of my creative archive, reflecting both artistic growth and the stories behind the scenes.

I regularly receive proposals for children’s books, and this illustration was developed as part of a submission package to a publisher—helping bring the concept to life through visual storytelling.

Occasionally, a project reaches a natural pause when creative visions don’t fully align. While it may not move forward, the work still contributes to my artistic journey and often informs future collaborations.

This cheerful, high-energy illustration was originally submitted for a contest—though I can’t quite recall which one! I love the playful vibe and bold, graphic style, so it lives in my archive for future use or inspiration. Like many of my pieces, it’s a reminder that creative work often finds its purpose in time.

This stylized peacock was created as the identifying image for a small business logo—bold, elegant, and full of personality. While I know it was used for some time, I’m not sure if it’s still in circulation. Regardless, it remains a strong example of character-driven branding with lasting visual charm.
