First Wednesdays Cover Art

Client: ACLU (America Civil Liberties Union)

For the ACLU’s First Wednesdays series, I created a playful and engaging illustration to promote open, respectful brown bag lunch discussions on critical social topics. The goal was to reflect the ACLU’s values of civility, inclusion, and public dialogue in a welcoming and accessible visual format.

This particular design supported a session on environmental justice, using approachable animal characters and vibrant colors to invite participation while underscoring the serious theme: “Whose air, food & water is it anyway?”

Bold and symbolic, this illustration addresses the critical issue of the school-to-prison pipeline. Using stark architectural imagery and a rigid pipeline motif, the visual draws a direct line between schools and incarceration, underscoring the urgent need for reform.

Bright, graphic, and emotionally resonant, this illustration explores the issue of bullying through simple yet impactful visual storytelling. Featuring a lone figure surrounded by a flurry of departing legs, the image captures the isolation and social abandonment often experienced by those who are bullied, while maintaining a clean, approachable style.
